Computer specialists of the Israeli state police have been analyzing for the last several days the data on General Amiram Levins personal computer, and are trying to determine which libraries and files were either copied or downloaded via Email in the past month and to where. In a secret report, written yesterday by the police for the duty magistrate in the Tel-Aviv district court, it was noted that, police investigators are suspecting that the entire database on General Levins personal computer was copied, sold or downloaded by Email. ... Its become clear at this stage of the investigation, that Levins notebook was traded to a drug dealer in an exchange for an old NIS 2,000 (about $500.00), drugs debt. .... The discovery of the stolen notebook PC started to unravel on Wednesday this week. ... On Wednesday, during the afternoon hours, two suspects, Dani Shlepman and Ganadi Shpovonikov were picked up and arrested on San-Martin Street next to the national park. ... The Jerico type pistol found in Shlepmans possession, was traced as registered to General Levin. Shlepman was interrogated and immediately confessed to tens of burglaries in the last several months, including to General Amiram Levins house. "I had no idea to whose house I was braking into" and " it was a villa that was fairly easy to gain access to, so I got in ... took a notebook computer, a handgun, a commando knife, several medals that seemed to be very valuable, and I left. None of the items were in a safe." ... Shlepman confessed that he took the laptop to a computer specialist for evaluation. According to Shlepman, the specialist powered-up the notebook, and observed data regarding troop movements, maps with distinct markings and other top-secret documents. ... Shlepman identified Stanislav Ostrovsky, a 25 years old Tel- Aviv pub manager, as the buyer and brought the police to his home. At Ostrovskys house, the police found in addition the General Levins stolen computer, narcotics of various types including heroin, cocaine and marijuana. ....
